Cable HDMI Goobay 61642 5 m Type-A macho a macho 48 Gbit/s

The Goobay 61642 HDMI cable is a 5 m HDMI Type A male-to-male cable designed for high-bandwidth audio and video transmission. With support for a 48 Gbit/s data rate and Audio Return Channel (ARC), this black cable connects TVs, monitors, projectors and AV receivers to source devices such as set-top boxes, Blu-ray players and gaming consoles. Gold-plated HDMI Type A connectors provide stable contact and improved corrosion resistance for reliable signal transfer over its 5 metre length.

Advantages

This HDMI cable supports a 48 Gbit/s transfer rate that enables transmission of high-resolution video and multichannel audio. Gold-plated HDMI Type A connectors reduce contact resistance and enhance durability. The 5 m length offers flexibility for typical living-room, office or conference-room installations where devices are not adjacent. The included Audio Return Channel simplifies routing by allowing compatible TVs to send audio back to an AV receiver or soundbar without a separate audio cable.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type: HDMI Type A (male) — both ends
• Max data rate: 48 Gbit/s
• Audio: supports Audio Return Channel (ARC)
• Colour: black
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A plug to the HDMI output of the source device and the other plug to the HDMI input of the display or AV device. Ensure both devices are powered on and set to the correct HDMI input. If using a TV and AV receiver with ARC, enable ARC/eARC settings in the device menus and select the appropriate audio output mode. Route the 5 m cable to avoid sharp bends and tight kinks; maintain gentle curves and avoid placing heavy objects on the cable to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this cable for installations requiring a reliable 5 m HDMI connection and where 48 Gbit/s bandwidth and ARC support are beneficial. For wall-mounted displays consider using cable management channels or short protective conduits to prevent stress at the connector ends. If long runs beyond 5 m are needed, evaluate active HDMI solutions or fiber HDMI cables to maintain signal quality over greater distances.
