Acoplador de fibra óptica Digitus dúplex SC a SC MM OM3

Digitus Fiber optic coupling duplex SC to SC MM OM3 is a duplex SC-to-SC multimode OM3 adapter with SC/UPC interfaces in blue. Designed for installation in splice boxes, patch panels and junction boxes, it provides precise alignment and low-loss connections suitable for high-speed data transmission in FTTH, data center and telecommunications environments. The compact unit is supplied with dust caps to protect ferrules during storage and installation.

Advantages

Robust and reliable construction developed for long-term use in splice boxes. The ceramic sleeve ensures precise alignment and consistently low attenuation for stable optical performance. Its compact design allows space-saving installation and the included dust caps maintain connector cleanliness during handling and storage.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Duplex SC to SC connections in multimode OM3 networks
• Splice boxes, patch panels and junction boxes
• FTTH installations and data center backbones

How to use

Install the duplex SC to SC coupling into the appropriate opening of a splice box, patch panel or junction box. Remove the dust caps from the coupler and the connector ferrules, insert the SC/UPC connectors into the adapter until they click into place, ensuring correct alignment. For removal, pull the connector straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule or sleeve. Keep dust caps on unused ports to protect the ferrules when not connected.

Recommendations

Use only clean SC/UPC connectors and follow standard fiber handling practices to maintain low insertion loss: clean connectors before mating, avoid bending fibers beyond their minimum bend radius, and store with dust caps when not in use.
