If using USB 3.0, plug into a USB 3.0 port to achieve maximum transfer speeds; the adapter also works in USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports at lower speeds. Install the driver from the supplied CD or download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website if required. After driver installation enable the wireless adapter in your OS, select the desired WiFi network or set up AP mode to share a wired connection.

Recommendations

For best performance place the adapter in a USB port with minimal obstructions and away from large metal objects or other strong radio sources. Use the 5 GHz band for high-bandwidth activities like streaming or gaming and 2.4 GHz for longer range. Keep drivers updated to ensure compatibility and security.
