Alicate pelacables Knipex PreciStrip16

The Knipex PreciStrip16 cable stripper provides precise, single-pair stripping for fine stranded and solid round cables. It handles a wide conductor cross-section range from 0.08 to 16 mm² and is engineered to deliver clean cuts with minimal conductor damage. Semi-circular grooved metal holding clamps ensure secure grip while a parabolic stripping blade makes exact incisions. A fine adjustable zero correction lets you adapt the blade setting to specific materials or temperature-related changes. The tool is lightweight (0.18 kg) and made in Germany.

Advantages

The tool strips cable conductors from very fine to thick sizes using only one pair of pliers, combining a wide capacity range with compact handling. Semi-circular grooved clamps provide good grip and positioning of the cable, while the parabolic blade produces precise cuts. The fine adjustable zero correction allows adaptation to different insulation materials and temperature conditions. The product’s weight and ergonomic design support controlled operation during repetitive tasks.

Suitable for

• Stripping fine stranded cables (0.08 mm² and up)
• Stripping solid round conductors
• Electrical installation and network cabling work
• Maintenance and repair tasks requiring precise insulation removal

How to use

Position the cable between the semi-circular grooved holding clamps and align the section to be stripped with the parabolic stripping blade. Squeeze the pliers to clamp the cable, then rotate or pull the tool as required to remove the insulation cleanly. If needed, use the fine zero correction to adjust blade depth to the insulation material or ambient temperature to prevent conductor nicking. Work with steady, controlled motions and check the conductor after stripping to ensure insulation removal is complete and the conductor is undamaged.

Recommendations

Use the fine adjustable zero correction when switching between different insulation types or working in environments with significant temperature variations. Regularly inspect the blade and clamps for wear and keep the tool clean to maintain precise stripping performance.
