ASUS Prime 850W Gold ( AP-850G ) fuente de alimentación 20+4-pin ATX ATX negro, blanco

The ASUS Prime 850W Gold (AP-850G) is a desktop power supply unit providing a stable 850 W output for mainstream and high-performance PC builds. Designed for compatibility with a wide range of systems, it accepts AC input from 100–240 V and delivers efficient power conversion under varying loads. The unit integrates active cooling with a single fan and comes with a standard set of cables including AC mains, CPU, PCIe, Peripheral (Molex), SATA and a 20+4 pin ATX motherboard connector with a 61 cm cable to reach common case layouts.

Advantages

The 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating ensures reduced energy losses and lower heat generation compared with lower-certified PSUs, improving overall system stability and operating costs. The inclusion of a 20+4 pin ATX connector with a 61 cm cable provides flexibility for routing in different chassis types. Its balanced feature set — full set of common connectors and active single-fan cooling — makes the unit suitable for both compact and mid-tower enclosures. The product colour options in white and black allow matching to various build aesthetics.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Mainstream gaming PCs with single or dual GPU setups
• Workstations for content creation and light rendering
• Home and office desktop computers requiring reliable continuous power
• System builds where energy efficiency and moderate acoustic performance are desired

How to use

Install the ASUS Prime 850W Gold into a compatible PC case following standard safety procedures: disconnect mains power, ground yourself, and secure the PSU to the case using the provided screw positions. Connect the 20+4 pin ATX connector to the motherboard, attach the CPU power cable to the CPU power socket, and connect PCIe, SATA and peripheral cables to their respective components. Use the AC mains cable to connect the unit to a properly rated wall outlet. After connections are confirmed, power on the system and verify stable operation and fan activity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, position the PSU so its fan has unobstructed airflow and avoid blocking ventilation openings. Use a surge protector or UPS on systems handling critical tasks to protect against power spikes. Regularly check cable connections and keep internal dust levels low to maintain efficiency and cooling performance.
