Cable óptico activo CBO SFP28-AOC-10M 10 m SFP28 AOC para conexiones 25GbE

CBO SFP28-AOC-10M is a 10-meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors designed for 25GbE links. The cable delivers a direct fiber-based connection between SFP28 ports on switches, servers or network adapters, enabling low-latency, high-bandwidth data transmission over short distances inside racks or between adjacent racks. The fully assembled AOC eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reduces electromagnetic interference and simplifies port-to-port cabling in data center and enterprise network environments.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable offers predictable 25GbE performance with minimal signal loss and stable throughput. Its SFP28 form-factor ensures compatibility with devices that support SFP28 modules and provides hot-pluggable convenience. The integrated optical link reduces electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives and helps lower rack heat buildup. The 10 m length gives flexibility for cable routing within dense rack layouts without compromising link integrity.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centers
• Top-of-rack to leaf switch links
• High-performance network adapters and NIC interconnects
• Short-distance fabric links inside server rooms and equipment cabinets

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 10 meters
• Cable type: Active optical cable (single assembly)
• Typical use: Short-reach, rack-level and adjacent-rack connections
• Form factor: Hot-pluggable SFP28 module housing

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the module latches. Ensure both devices support 25GbE operation and that port settings are configured for the intended link speed. Use standard network management tools to verify link status and verify that the operating system or switch firmware recognizes the AOC. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and protect the optical assemblies from mechanical stress during installation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, avoid tight bends below the manufacturer's minimum bend radius, secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors, and use the 10 m length for rack-to-rack or top-of-rack applications where direct fiber connectivity is preferred. Verify device compatibility with SFP28 AOCs and check switch firmware advisories when deploying in mixed-vendor environments.
