CBO InfiniBand Cable 15m SFP+ AOC (Modelo 10G-SFPP-AOC-1501-BO) naranja

The CBO InfiniBand cable 15m SFP+ AOC (orange) is an active optical cable designed for high-speed 10G interconnects between switches, servers and storage systems. With SFP+ interfaces on both ends and a 15 meter reach, this AOC supports low-latency data transmission and immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for rack-to-rack and data centre interconnects that require stable 10 Gigabit links and plug-and-play operation.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides the bandwidth and signal integrity required for 10G Ethernet and InfiniBand connections while eliminating the need for separate transceivers. The optical medium ensures electrical isolation and immunity to electromagnetic noise, reducing cross-talk and grounding concerns in dense rack environments. Its pre-terminated SFP+ form-factor offers simple installation and hot-pluggable operation, and the 15 m length enables flexible placement of equipment within and between racks.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centres
• High-speed links between network switches
• Server-to-storage interconnects requiring 10G throughput
• Environments with high electromagnetic interference where electrical isolation is needed

Key specifications

• Type: Active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors
• Nominal speed: 10 Gbit/s
• Length: 15 metres
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for InfiniBand and 10G Ethernet
• Cable colour: orange
• Form factor: SFP+ plug-and-play, hot-pluggable

How to use

Install by inserting the SFP+ connectors into compatible SFP+ ports on switches, servers or storage devices until they click into place. Ensure both ends are connected to matching SFP+ ports configured for 10G operation. No additional transceivers or fibre patching are required. Verify link status on connected devices and, if necessary, configure the network interfaces for the correct speed and duplex settings. Use proper routing and strain relief to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress on the cable.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid tight bends and secure the cable with appropriate cable management hardware. Confirm compatibility of SFP+ ports and firmware with active optical cables and verify link negotiation settings on switches and servers before deployment.
