Fibra óptica AOC SFP28-AOC-2M cable óptico activo CBO, SFP28, 2 m de longitud

The AOC fiber SFP28-AOC-2M active optical cable CBO is a 2-meter direct-attach solution designed for 25GbE and SFP28-compatible links. It connects SFP28 ports on switches, servers and NICs with an optical fiber assembly that replaces copper DACs for short-reach interconnects. The cable delivers reliable signal integrity, reduced electromagnetic interference and a compact form factor suitable for dense rack installations in datacenter and enterprise network environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides low latency and consistent performance for SFP28 links while minimizing crosstalk and EMI typical of copper alternatives. The integrated transceiver modules simplify installation by plugging directly into SFP28 ports without separate optics or patch cords. Its 2 m length balances reach and cable management in rack-to-rack or switch-to-server connections and helps maintain airflow and space efficiency in dense deployments.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25GbE connections between top-of-rack switches and servers
• Direct attachment between network interface cards and switches in server racks
• High-density cabling environments where EMI reduction is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 form-factor active optical assembly
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet (SFP28-compatible)
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 2 meters
• Signal medium: optical fiber with integrated transceiver electronics
• Intended application: short-reach datacenter interconnects and server rack connections

How to use

Insert each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the networking devices until a secure latch or click is felt. Ensure devices are powered off or ports are prepared according to the equipment manufacturer’s hot-plug guidelines if required. Verify link status through the switch or server management interface and monitor port LEDs to confirm an active 25GbE connection. For removal, depress the module bail or latch and pull straight out to avoid stressing the cable assembly.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the specified bend radius and secure the cable to prevent tugging. Use in environments where short, direct optical connections are preferred to reduce EMI and simplify cabling. Confirm compatibility with device firmware and switch vendor support for SFP28 active optical assemblies before deployment.
