BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-MR-BO Cable de fibra óptica InfiniBand 15m conector/ conector

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-MR-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed links in data centres and networking equipment, this AOC implements the SFP28 form factor and supports multimode optical transmission over a fixed 15 m length. It is intended for applications requiring reliable short-reach fibre connectivity between compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

This SFP28 AOC provides a compact, plug-and-play connection that integrates transmitter and receiver modules within the cable assembly, reducing the need for separate transceivers and fibre patching. The fixed-length multimode design simplifies cabling layouts in rack environments and helps maintain consistent optical performance across the 15 m span. Compatibility with SFP28 ports enables support for 25 Gbit/s class links where equipment accepts SFP28 AOC modules.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25 Gbit/s connections between switches and routers in data centres
• High-density rack-to-rack links where SFP28 ports are available
• Server-to-switch interconnects in environments using multimode optical infrastructure

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated TX/RX
• Length: 15 metres
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fibre
• Supported data rate: suitable for 25 Gbit/s class links
• Form factor: SFP28

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking devices until the module latches. Confirm link status on both devices and verify that port speed and mode are set to support 25 Gbit/s or the negotiated rate. Ensure that connected equipment officially supports SFP28 AOC modules; if necessary check device firmware and port configuration before deployment. Handle the cable by its plugs and avoid tight bends along the optical section to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this AOC within structured cabling trays or cable management arms to maintain bend radius and prevent strain. Confirm compatibility with your hardware vendor's supported module list and, where possible, test the link in a non-production environment before full rollout.
