Advantages

The duplex LC–SC single-mode patch cord provides low insertion loss and high return loss in accordance with OS2 9/125 µm specifications. Its standardized connectors support compatibility with a wide range of network devices. A 5 m cable length offers flexibility for cabling between racks, panels, and active equipment while maintaining signal integrity.

Key specifications

• Type: Fibre optic patch cord, duplex
• Connector A: LC duplex
• Connector B: SC duplex
• Mode: Single-mode (SM)
• Fibre type: OS2, 9/125 µm
• Length: 5 m

How to use

Connect the LC duplex end to the device or patch panel port designed for LC connectors and plug the SC duplex end into the corresponding SC port or panel. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid signal loss. Route the cable without sharp bends and secure it to prevent strain on connectors. Test the link after installation to verify attenuation and continuity.

Recommendations

Maintain connector cleanliness using appropriate cleaning tools and avoid bending the fibre below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. For installations in active racks, label both ends of the patch cord for easier identification and future maintenance.
