Cable de conexión de fibra óptica Value 50/125 µm LC/LC OM4 violeta 20 m

Fibre Optic Jumper Cable Value 50/125 µm LC/LC OM4 purple 20 m is a multimode OM4 patch lead with 50/125 µm core/cladding and LC duplex connectors. The 20 m length and purple jacket identify it as an OM4 cable suitable for high-speed networks and data centre interconnects, offering low attenuation and extended bandwidth for current 1/10 Gbit/s links and future 40/100 Gbit/s systems.

Advantages

OM4 multimode fibre provides increased laser bandwidth (approximately 4700 MHz·km) and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower graded multimode types, enabling longer reach at 10 Gbit/s (up to around 550 m in optimal conditions) and better performance in short-reach data centre environments. LC/LC connectors provide a compact duplex connection compatible with common transceivers and patch panels. The 20 m length gives flexibility for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack and shelf-to-shelf connections in data centres
• 10 Gbit/s campus backbones and links requiring extended reach
• Short-reach connections in high-performance computing and server clusters
• Upgrade paths toward 40/100 Gbit/s systems using parallel optics or suitable transceivers

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports for dust before connection and use appropriate dust caps when idle. Align and insert the LC connectors into compatible LC ports on transceivers, switches or patch panels until a secure latch is felt. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends (observe minimum bend radius) and mechanical stress. For best performance, use with transceivers rated for multimode OM4 fibre and perform optical loss testing if required for critical links.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM4 jumper by the connector boots, avoid twisting or tight coils, and keep connectors clean using lint-free wipes and approved cleaning tools to maintain low insertion loss and reliable high-speed links.
