Cable de fibra óptica ShiverPeaks BS77921/3 1 m SC aqua

The ShiverPeaks BS77921/3 1m SC Aqua is an OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short- to medium-range high-speed network connections. It features SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter that supports high bandwidth for full duplex data transmission. The aqua jacket identifies the cable as OM3, making it easy to organise in data centres and networking environments.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers low attenuation and stable signal integrity over typical OM3 distances, enabling reliable high-speed links in structured cabling systems. The SC connectors provide a push-pull coupling mechanism for secure mating and straightforward installation. The 1 metre length reduces excess cable in patching scenarios while the OM3 multimode specification supports modern short-run applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and rack-to-rack connections
• Server to switch or switch to switch short-range links
• LAN backbone and horizontal cabling in enterprise networks
• High-speed storage area network (SAN) interconnects at multimode distances

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Cable length: 1 metre
• Cable jacket colour: aqua (OM3 identification)
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Identify the correct patch panel or transceiver ports for SC connectors and align the SC ferrules before inserting until the connector latches. Ensure both ends are fully seated to establish a stable full duplex link. Avoid excessive bending of the cable; keep the bend radius above the manufacturer-recommended minimum for multimode fibre. When routing in racks or trays, secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors and maintain neat cable management.

Recommendations

Inspect connector endfaces before termination or connection and clean with approved fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Use the 1 m length for close equipment connections to reduce slack; for longer runs choose appropriate OM3 or singlemode cables. Store and handle the cable in a dust-free environment and avoid kinks or tight loops to preserve optical performance.
