Cable FireWire DeLOCK 83589 2 m 6 polos 9 polos negro

The DeLOCK 83589 FireWire cable is a 2 m black cable with a 6-pin connector on one end and a 9-pin connector on the other. It supports FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394 / IEEE 1394a) standards and is designed to connect 6-pin FireWire devices such as camcorders or external enclosures to a computer with a 9-pin FireWire port. The 9-pin connector includes securing screws to prevent accidental unplugging.

Advantages

This cable provides a straightforward connection between 6-pin FireWire devices and 9-pin computer ports, supporting reliable IEEE 1394/1394a data transfer. At 2 meters length it offers flexibility for different setup layouts while the black PVC jacket ensures durability and ease of routing. The screw-secured 9-pin connector adds mechanical stability for longer-term connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting camcorders with 6-pin FireWire ports to a PC or workstation
• Connecting external hard drive enclosures or audio interfaces with 6-pin connectors
• Home or studio AV setups requiring FireWire 400 connectivity

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector 1: 6-pin FireWire
• Connector 2: 9-pin FireWire with securing screws
• Supported standard: FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394 / IEEE 1394a)
• Product colour: Black

How to use

Plug the 6-pin end into your FireWire device (for example, a camcorder or external enclosure) and the 9-pin end into the computer's FireWire port. Tighten the screws on the 9-pin connector to secure the cable and reduce the risk of accidental disconnection. After connection, power on the devices and allow the computer to recognise the attached hardware; install any required drivers if prompted by the operating system.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments free of excessive bending or constant strain. For stable long-term setups, check that the connector screws are properly tightened and avoid routing the cable near high-interference power sources.
