Cable óptico activo de fibra BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-IB-BO — 25 m SFP28 a SFP28, color menta

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-IB-BO is an active fibre optic cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends and a fixed 25 m length. Engineered for InfiniBand and 25 GbE environments, this AOC integrates optical transmitter and receiver functions into the cable ends so no separate transceivers are required. The mint-coloured cable is intended for short- to mid-range links in data centre racks, offering a lightweight solution (approx. 0.15 kg) for direct switch-to-switch or server-to-switch connections.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports 25 Gbit/s transmission and conforms to SFP28 physical connectivity, enabling plug-and-play deployment where compatible SFP28 ports are present. Integrated optical components reduce component count and simplify inventory compared with separate transceivers and patch fibre. The fixed 25 m length removes the need for in-line splicing or additional patching and the multi-mode optical design supports common high-speed protocols such as Ethernet and InfiniBand in short- to mid-range scenarios.

Suitable for

• Short- to mid-range data centre interconnects
• Switch-to-switch links within rack or between adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch connections requiring 25 Gbit/s throughput
• Environments using SFP28 ports and InfiniBand or 25GbE protocols

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Optical format: active optical cable with integrated transmitter and receiver
• Weight: approx. 0.15 kg
• Colour: mint

How to use

Ensure both network devices have compatible SFP28 ports and support the intended 25G or InfiniBand protocol. Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding port until it latches; no separate transceivers or additional fibre patching is required. Route the 25 m cable through the rack or conduit with gentle bends only, avoiding tight bends or crushing. Power and device configuration (link speed, protocol settings) are managed by the connected equipment and may require verifying port settings or firmware compatibility on switches and servers.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and maintain the specified minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Verify compatibility with your hardware platform and firmware versions before large deployments; testing a single link in your environment is recommended to confirm link negotiation and performance.
