Cable S-video ShiverPeaks BS90022-10

The ShiverPeaks BS90022-10 is a 10 m S-video cable with RCA connectors designed for transmitting standard-definition video signals with reduced interference. Constructed for everyday home entertainment use, this cable combines a long run length with a simple RCA-to-RCA connection scheme and a black/yellow color finish to help identify signal lines. It is suitable for linking legacy video sources such as DVD players, older set-top boxes or VCRs to TVs and monitors that accept RCA/S-video connections.

Advantages

This S-video cable provides a reliable physical connection over a 10 m distance while minimising signal degradation through its appropriate shielding for analogue video. The RCA connectors ensure broad compatibility with a wide range of consumer AV equipment. Its straightforward design and durable jacket make installation and handling simple, and the colour coding (black and yellow) helps with quick identification during setup or maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting DVD players, VCRs or older set-top boxes to TVs or monitors with RCA/S-video inputs
• Home entertainment systems where a 10 m cable run is required
• Temporary AV setups for presentations or events using analogue video equipment

Key specifications

• Cable length: 10 m
• Connector type: RCA to RCA
• Signal type: Analogue standard-definition video (S-video via RCA wiring)
• Colour: Black and yellow
• Design: PVC jacket for everyday durability

How to use

Connect one RCA plug to the video output of the source device and the matching RCA plug to the video input on the display device, matching the colour-coded connectors where applicable. Ensure connectors are fully seated to avoid loose contacts and verify the TV or monitor is set to the correct input. Route the 10 m cable to avoid sharp bends, pinching or sources of strong electromagnetic interference to maintain signal quality. For multi-channel setups, keep video and power cables separated when possible.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable in indoor home environments and avoid running it alongside heavy power cabling to reduce interference. Inspect connectors periodically for corrosion or damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
