Cable serie RS232 ProXtend DB25 conector macho a DB9 conector hembra PX-RS2329M25F 1,8 m

ProXtend PX-RS2329M25F is a 1.8 m RS232 serial cable with a DB25 male connector on one end and a DB9 female connector on the other. It provides standard pin-to-pin RS232 wiring for connecting legacy serial equipment such as modems, industrial controllers, POS terminals, and serial printers. The cable is intended for reliable data exchange at standard RS232 voltage levels and straightforward installation without special configuration.

Advantages

The cable uses standard DB25-to-DB9 wiring to ensure compatibility with a wide range of serial devices. Its 1.8 m length offers flexibility for typical desk and equipment setups while keeping signal integrity for low-speed serial communications. Durable connector housings and sturdy strain relief at each end reduce wear from repeated plugging and movement. The straightforward pin-to-pin wiring eliminates the need for adapters or custom modifications when matching common serial port layouts.

Suitable for

• Connecting serial modems to legacy host equipment
• Linking industrial controllers and field devices with RS232 ports
• Attaching serial printers, barcode scanners, and POS hardware
• Establishing point-to-point device management and configuration links

Key specifications

• Cable type: RS232 serial cable
• Length: 1.8 m
• Connector A: DB25 male
• Connector B: DB9 female
• Wiring: standard pin-to-pin RS232
• Typical use: low-speed serial data and control signals
• Construction: molded connector housings with strain relief

How to use

Identify the serial ports on both devices and connect the DB25 male end to the matching DB25 female port, and the DB9 female end to the DB9 male port on the other device. Ensure both devices are powered off when making connections if recommended by the equipment manufacturer. After connecting, power the devices and verify serial communication settings (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, and flow control) match on both ends. No driver installation is required for a passive cable; configuration is handled through device settings or terminal software.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short to medium distance RS232 links within the same room or equipment rack. Keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large motors or unshielded power wiring to maintain signal quality. For applications requiring higher data rates or longer runs, consider appropriate signal boosters, converters, or alternative interface standards.
