This Delock USB C cable (model 84847) is a 2 m Thunderbolt™ 3 / USB 3.2 Gen 2 compatible cable with male USB‑C connectors on both ends. It supports combined Thunderbolt™ 3 functions including data transfer, DisplayPort video and device power delivery, making it suitable for connecting external enclosures, monitors, card readers and docking stations to a PC or laptop.

Advantages

The cable supports data transfer rates up to 20 Gbit/s and is compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1 Gen 2). It carries DisplayPort signals for 4K/5K monitors, supports PCI Express and Ethernet pass‑through, and provides power delivery to connected devices up to 60 W. The cable features USB‑C male connectors on both ends and gold‑plated contacts for improved contact reliability.

How to use

Connect one USB‑C plug to the Thunderbolt™ 3 or USB‑C port on your laptop or PC and the other plug to the target device (external enclosure, monitor, card reader or docking station). Ensure both devices support the required functions (for example, DisplayPort over USB‑C or Thunderbolt™ 3) to use video or PCIe features. Use the cable for data transfer, video output or to supply power to compatible devices up to the rated 60 W.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect devices that explicitly support Thunderbolt™ 3 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 and keep cable length and connection points clean. If you require higher than 60 W power delivery or full 40 Gbit/s Thunderbolt™ 3 bandwidth, select a cable and host/device combination that explicitly advertises those capabilities.
