Cinta adhesiva de doble cara Tesa 4964, 50 mm de ancho, alta adherencia, cinta de montaje de alto rendimiento

Tesa double-sided tape 4964 is a 50 mm wide high-bond mounting tape engineered for permanent fixing on smooth, clean surfaces. The product provides strong adhesion for a wide range of materials and is intended for indoor mounting applications where a discreet, fast alternative to mechanical fixings is required. The carrier-backed adhesive construction ensures consistent bonding strength and reliable load-bearing attachment for trims, panels, nameplates and signs.

Advantages

The tape combines high initial tack with permanent adhesion to deliver immediate holding power and long-term stability. Its thick adhesive layer compensates for minor surface irregularities while maintaining a slim profile to keep joints neat. The product is suitable for a range of materials, offering good shear resistance and minimal creep when applied correctly on compatible substrates. Being double-sided and pressure-sensitive, it enables fast, clean installations without drilling or visible fasteners.

Suitable for

• Mounting decorative trims and mouldings on indoor walls
• Fixing lightweight panels, acrylic sheets and sign boards
• Attaching nameplates, cable clips and small hardware
• Temporary or permanent bonding of compatible plastics, metals and glass

Key specifications

• Adhesive type: high-bond, pressure-sensitive double-sided adhesive
• Width: 50 mm
• Backing: carrier-backed construction for dimensional stability
• Intended use: indoor mounting and permanent fixing
• Performance: strong initial tack and long-term load-bearing capability on smooth, clean substrates

How to use

Prepare the bonding surfaces by cleaning them thoroughly to remove dust, grease and moisture; use isopropyl alcohol or a mild detergent and allow surfaces to dry. Cut the required length of tape and apply it to one surface with firm, even pressure to ensure full contact. Remove the liner and press the bonded parts together, applying sustained pressure across the joint for several seconds to improve contact and adhesion. Allow the adhesive to develop full strength according to ambient temperature conditions; avoid immediate high loads on the bond.

Recommendations

Best results are achieved on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as painted metal, glass and finished plastics. Avoid application to rough, dirty or damp surfaces, low-energy plastics and surfaces exposed to continuous outdoor weathering. Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and apply at temperatures above the manufacturer’s recommended minimum to ensure optimal adhesion.
