Conector de fibra óptica SC/SC conector hembra/conector hembra ShiverPeaks BS07-60053

The ShiverPeaks BS07-60053 SC/SC Female/Female fibre optic connector is a bulkhead-style adapter designed to join two SC-terminated fibre cables through a panel or enclosure. It provides a stable physical interface for single- or multi-mode optical links where SC connections are required, enabling organised routing and reliable signal continuity in telecommunications and data centre installations.

Advantages

This SC/SC female-to-female bulkhead adapter offers a compact footprint for panel mounting, physical protection for connector endfaces, and consistent alignment for low insertion loss and repeatable mating. The adapter supports straightforward installation in fibre panels and wall plates, reduces the risk of damage to cable terminations, and helps maintain optical performance across patching and equipment connections.

Suitable for

• Panel and bulkhead installations in data centres and telecom closets
• Interconnecting SC-terminated fibre patch cords
• Patching between equipment with SC interfaces
• Organised fibre management in cabinets and enclosures

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female to SC female (bulkhead adapter)
• Mounting style: panel/bulkhead mount
• Interface: duplex/SC form factor compatible
• Typical insertion loss: designed for low-loss optical coupling (manufacturer dependent)
• Alignment mechanism: ceramic/alignment sleeve for stable fibre core alignment
• Material: durable housing suitable for rack and enclosure use

How to use

Install the adapter into the designated cutout on a fibre panel or bulkhead and secure it according to the panel’s mounting method. Insert SC-terminated patch cords into each side of the adapter until they click into place, ensuring ferrule endfaces are clean and undamaged prior to mating. When removing connectors, depress the SC latch and withdraw straight out to avoid stressing the cable. Regularly inspect and clean endfaces to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Use industry-standard fibre cleaning tools and procedures before mating connectors, route cables to avoid excessive bending near the adapter, and confirm compatibility with the installed fibre type (single-mode or multi-mode) and connector polish to maintain low insertion loss and system reliability.
