Conector macho F coaxial ShiverPeaks 85012-A, diámetro exterior de cable 7,5 mm, tuerca hexagonal grande

ShiverPeaks 85012-A F-type coaxial connector is designed for use with coaxial cables that have an outer diameter of approximately 7.5 mm. The connector uses a threaded F-connector interface with a large hex nut for reliable tool-assisted tightening, providing a stable mechanical and electrical connection for TV, satellite and cable signal distribution applications. Its robust construction is suited to installations where a secure, low-loss connection is required.

Advantages

The large hex nut design enables consistent torque during installation, reducing the risk of loose or intermittent connections. Precision-machined threads and conductive materials ensure good shielding and low contact resistance. The connector is compatible with common 7.5 mm coaxial cables and supports standard F-type mating connectors, making it practical for retrofit and new-install scenarios.

Suitable for

• Home TV antenna connections
• Satellite dish cable terminations
• Cable TV and set-top box cabling
• Professional AV installations requiring robust F-type terminations
• Repair or upgrade of existing coaxial cable runs

Key specifications

• Connector type: threaded F-type coaxial connector
• Compatible cable outer diameter: approximately 7.5 mm
• Nut style: large hex nut for tool-assisted tightening
• Contact and body: metallic conductive construction for shielding (material dependent on production batch)
• Application: TV, satellite, cable signal distribution

How to use

Prepare the coaxial cable by stripping the outer jacket, braid and dielectric to the dimensions appropriate for F-type termination, ensuring the central conductor remains straight and exposed. Slide the connector onto the prepared cable end until the dielectric seats properly and the braid is captured by the connector body. Tighten the large hex nut with the appropriate wrench or tool to achieve a secure mechanical and electrical connection, avoiding excessive torque that could deform the conductor. After installation, verify signal continuity and check for signal quality on the connected equipment.

Recommendations

Use a calibrated torque wrench or the manufacturer-recommended tightening procedure when installing multiple connectors to ensure consistent connections. For outdoor or exposed installations, use additional weatherproofing such as sealant or heat-shrink boots to protect against moisture ingress and corrosion.
