Conmutador bidireccional Unitek DP 1.4 8K 2 en 1 (MPN V1609A)

The Unitek Bidirectional Switch DP 1.4 8K 2-in-1 is a compact DisplayPort switch designed to manage high-resolution DP signals. It supports DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth and resolutions up to 8K, enabling routing of a single DP source to two displays or switching between two DP sources to one display. The unit provides manual switching and a straightforward physical interface suitable for workstations, home offices and AV installations where reliable DP signal control is required.

Advantages

The switch preserves DP 1.4 bandwidth, allowing transmission of high-resolution video and increased color depth where supported by source and display hardware. Its bidirectional function provides flexible signal routing: either distribute one source to two monitors or select between two sources for a single monitor. The compact form factor minimizes desk clutter and simplifies integration with existing DP cables and equipment, while manual switching avoids the need for additional software or drivers.

Suitable for

• Workstations requiring high-resolution multi-monitor setups
• Home office environments with one computer and two displays or two computers sharing a single display
• Audio‑visual installations that need manual source selection for DP devices
• Testing and troubleshooting DP sources and displays

Key specifications

• DisplayPort standard: DisplayPort 1.4 compatibility
• Maximum resolution: up to 8K (dependent on source and display capabilities)
• Functionality: bidirectional operation — 1 source to 2 displays or 2 sources to 1 display
• Switching method: manual physical switch
• Connectors: DisplayPort input/output ports (compatible with standard DP cables)
• Form factor: compact, lightweight housing for desktop placement

How to use

Connect DisplayPort cables from your source device(s) and display(s) to the corresponding DP ports on the switch, ensuring secure plug-in connections. Use the physical switch control to select the desired signal routing mode: route one source to two displays or choose between two sources for a single display. Verify that source and display devices support the intended resolution and refresh rate; adjust display settings on connected devices if needed. No drivers are required for operation—power is supplied by connected DP sources unless an external adapter is specified by the manufacturer.

Recommendations

For best results, use high-quality DP 1.4-certified cables, confirm that both source and display devices support the chosen 8K or high-resolution mode, and avoid excessive cable lengths to reduce signal degradation. When switching sources, allow brief stabilization time for displays to sync to the new input.
