DIGITUS cable de parcheo - Cat 5e - U-UTP - Snagless - 0,5 m - gris

The DIGITUS Category 5e U/UTP patch cord (0.5 m) is a short network cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed to meet ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 5e specifications. It is tested for performance up to 100 MHz and provides compliant channel performance characteristics such as NEXT. The cable features a molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and a latch protection that prevents the latching lever from breaking. The transparent blue coloured plug allows easy identification of Category 5e.

Advantages

This CAT 5e U/UTP patch cord offers tested compliance with international cabling standards, consistent performance up to 100 MHz and protection against connector damage thanks to the molded boot and latch protector. Its short 0.5 m length reduces excess cable clutter for close-proximity connections, and the transparent blue plug simplifies category identification.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices in close proximity (switch to PC, patch panel short links)
• Office and data closet patching where Cat5e performance is sufficient
• Structured cabling channels requiring ISO/EN Cat5e compliance

Key specifications

• Length: 0.5 m
• Standard: Category 5e (ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173)
• Bandwidth: tested up to 100 MHz
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall braid absent)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Grey cable with transparent blue plug
• Features: Molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding port on the devices you wish to connect (for example switch to PC or patch panel). Ensure connectors click into place and the molded boot is not bent sharply at the entry point to maintain strain relief. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines or close to strong electromagnetic sources.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m DIGITUS CAT 5e patch cord for short interconnections within racks or between nearby devices. Confirm that Cat5e performance (up to 100 MHz) meets your application requirements; for higher bandwidth needs consider Cat6 or above.
