DIGITUS Caja de empalme de fibra óptica, 1U, equipada con 12x SC dúplex, incl. tornillo M25, cassette de empalme, pigtails de colores OS2, adaptador

The Digitus Fiber Optic Splice Box DN-96321/9 is a 1U rack-mount splice enclosure designed for SC duplex connectors. Constructed with a durable steel housing and finished in grey, the unit measures 315 mm wide and 515 mm deep and provides organized fiber management for up to 12 SC duplex (12x SC DX) connections using OS2 single-mode fiber. The splice box includes a splice cassette, colored pigtails and couplers to simplify installation and maintenance.

Advantages

This splice box offers a compact 1U form factor suitable for rack installation, robust steel construction for long-term durability, and pre-equipped components (splice cassette, colored pigtails and couplers) that reduce on-site preparation time. The box supports OS2 single-mode fibers and SC duplex connectors to ensure standard-compatible, reliable optical connections.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted fiber distribution in server rooms and telecom cabinets
• Splicing and termination points for single-mode OS2 networks
• Structured cabling installations requiring SC duplex connectors

How to use

Mount the splice box in a standard 19" rack using the 1U height allocation. Prepare incoming and outgoing fiber cables, route them into the enclosure and secure them to the internal cable management points. Perform splicing inside the included splice cassette, terminate the pigtails to the SC couplers and install the couplers in the front panel to provide accessible SC duplex ports. Close the enclosure after verifying fiber continuity and strain relief placement.

Recommendations

Handle fibers with appropriate ESD precautions and use proper fiber-cleaving and splicing tools. Verify compatibility of existing cabling with OS2 single-mode and SC duplex connectors before installation. For permanent installations, label ports and maintain bend radius protection to preserve optical performance.
