DIGITUS Caja de empalme deslizante de fibra óptica, 1U, equipada con 12x LC dúplex, incl. tornillo M25, cassette de empalme pigtails de colores OM4, adaptador

The Digitus DN-96331-4 is a 1U fiber optic sliding splice box designed for organized management of fiber connections in rack installations. Constructed from durable steel with a grey finish, this cable management panel supports up to 12 LC duplex (DX) ports and includes an OM4 splice cassette, colored pigtails and couplers for immediate deployment. Its compact dimensions (48.3 cm width, 28 cm depth) make it suitable for space-conscious setups while providing integrated splice protection and connector access.

Advantages

The panel combines a sliding 1U form factor with built-in splice cassette and pre-terminated colored pigtails to reduce installation time and simplify cable routing. Steel construction ensures mechanical stability and the included LC DX couplers are compatible with standard duplex LC connectors. The OM4-rated cassette enables multimode high-bandwidth performance where required.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Rack-mounted fiber termination and splice management
• Data center and server room patching for multimode networks
• Telecommunications closets and distribution frames
• Upgrades or retrofits where compact 1U footprint is required

After terminating and testing connections, slide the drawer closed to secure cables and maintain rack neatness.

Recommendations

Handle fibers using proper ESD and fiber safety procedures; use appropriate splice tools and cleaning materials. Verify multimode OM4 compatibility with connected equipment and keep bend radius limits to prevent attenuation. For permanent installations, label pigtails and ports to simplify future maintenance.
