Grabador de vídeo en red AXIS S2224 Mk II 24 canales, reproducción de 48 canales, 7680×4320, HDD de 6 TB, SSD de 256 GB, RAID 0/1/10, 1U, Negro

AXIS S2224 Mk II is a 1U network video recorder designed for multi-camera surveillance in commercial and industrial environments. The rack appliance includes a built-in 24-port PoE switch, 24 AXIS Camera Station Pro licenses, 6 TB of installed HDD storage and a 256 GB SSD, and supports RAID configurations for flexible on-premises recording. It supports up to 24 video input channels and up to 48 simultaneous playback channels at a maximum resolution of 7680×4320, and is delivered preloaded with recorder software to reduce installation time.

Advantages

The appliance provides an all-in-one solution with an integrated PoE switch and preloaded AXIS Camera Station software, enabling centralized on-premises management of multiple cameras. It supports several RAID levels for redundancy or performance, offers expansion options with two empty drive bays, and includes features aimed at minimizing installation and maintenance effort such as setup wizards and a dashboard for switch status. Hardware certification and a FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified TPM add layers of security, while advanced replacement service and a 5-year hardware warranty help control lifecycle costs.

Suitable for

• Large commercial buildings and retail chains
• Manufacturing sites and industrial facilities
• Critical infrastructure and government installations requiring compliance
• Sites needing on-premises recording with local PoE camera connectivity

When it may not be suitable

This 1U rack recorder is optimized for rack-mounted, on-premises deployments and may not be suitable for very small installations or locations that require a compact or desktop device. If you require only a few channels or a completely cloud-only recording workflow without local storage, a smaller or cloud-native solution could be more appropriate.

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U rack appliance, black
• Video input channels: 24; simultaneous playback channels: up to 48
• Maximum recording resolution: 7680 × 4320 pixels
• Installed storage: 1 × 6 TB HDD and 256 GB SSD; two empty internal bays for expansion
• Supported RAID levels: 0, 1, 10
• Network: 24 × Ethernet RJ-45 PoE ports (IEEE 802.3at) with an additional uplink port
• Power consumption: 130 W (typical)
• Built-in processor and hardware suitable for AI-assisted features such as Smart Search
• Security: Encrypted OS, FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified TPM, Secure Boot, SBOM provided

How to use

Install the 1U recorder in a standard server rack and connect PoE cameras to the integrated switch ports. Use the preloaded AXIS Recorder Toolbox and AXIS Camera Station software to run the setup wizard for hostname, network configuration and date/time, then configure recording schedules and retention. Expand storage by installing drives into the empty bays if needed, and choose a RAID configuration that matches your needs for redundancy or performance. For cloud hybrid setups, enable support for AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage if offsite recording is required.

What to consider before purchase

• Number of cameras and required simultaneous playback channels
• Required local storage capacity and desired RAID level for redundancy
• Rack space availability (1U) and PoE power budget for connected cameras
• Compliance needs (FIPS/ND AA/TAA) and whether on-premises isolation is required

Recommendations

For reliable multi-camera surveillance, size storage and RAID level according to expected retention and bandwidth. Use the preloaded setup tools to standardize deployments and enable secure boot and TPM features to maintain a high-security posture.
