Fuente de alimentación HP P S MT 250W 92% de eficiencia, modelo L08417-004

Internal power supply unit for HP systems, model L08417-004, rated at 250 watts with up to 92% efficiency. Designed to deliver stable DC power to compatible HP desktop and workstation motherboards and internal components, this 250W unit reduces energy losses and supports consistent operation for systems that require an OEM-style replacement or upgrade. The unit is intended for installation inside compatible HP chassis and matches connector layouts and power envelopes used in designated HP models.

Advantages

The unit provides a stable 250W output with up to 92% energy efficiency, which reduces heat generation and improves power use compared with lower-efficiency supplies. It follows HP mechanical and electrical design conventions to ensure connector compatibility and reliable fitment in supported systems. Built to supply multiple DC rails and to support typical desktop and workstation component loads, the power supply helps restore original system behavior after repair or replacement.

Suitable for

• Repair or replacement of OEM HP 250W internal power supplies in compatible desktops and workstations
• Upgrading a failing or noisy power supply in supported HP systems
• System maintenance where original form factor and connector compatibility are required
• Bench testing or diagnostics of HP motherboards that accept a 250W internal PSU

Key specifications

• Rated output power: 250 watts
• Efficiency: up to 92% under typical load conditions
• Form factor: internal desktop/workstation power supply designed for HP chassis
• Output type: regulated DC outputs with multiple rails suitable for motherboard, storage and peripheral power
• Cooling: internal fan-assisted cooling (design dependent on chassis airflow)
• Operating environment: typical desktop ambient temperature range; designed for standard office/industrial use

How to use

Before installation, disconnect the system from mains power and ground yourself to avoid electrostatic discharge. Remove the chassis cover according to the HP service manual for the specific model, locating the existing power supply. Disconnect all internal power connectors from the motherboard, drives and peripherals, then remove mounting screws and extract the old unit. Install the replacement 250W power supply into the same mounting position, secure it with screws, and reconnect all power cables to their original connectors. Replace the chassis cover, reconnect mains power, and power on the system to verify normal operation. Refer to the specific HP service documentation for connector orientation and any jumpers or configuration details required by the system.

Recommendations

Use this power supply only in HP systems that specify a 250W internal unit with matching connector layout and mechanical form factor. Ensure adequate case airflow and that connected components do not exceed the total 250W budget. For safety and reliability, install following HP service instructions and replace any damaged cables or connectors before powering the system.
