Inyector Power over Ethernet PLANET HPOE-460

PLANET HPOE-460 is a 4-port Gigabit Power over Ethernet injector supporting both IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at (High Power) standards. The device injects data and up to 30 W of power per port over a single CAT5/5e/6 cable, enabling deployment of higher-power network powered devices such as PTZ/speed dome IP cameras, multi-channel wireless access points and other SOHO/SMB equipment where local power outlets may be limited.

Advantages

The HPOE-460 delivers up to 30.8 W (IEEE 802.3at) or 15.4 W (IEEE 802.3af) per port while maintaining Gigabit data throughput on all four 10/100/1000Base-T ports. With a total PoE budget of 120 W, it allows simultaneous powering of multiple remote PDs without replacing an existing Ethernet switch. The unit is compact, wall-mountable and provides straightforward PoE injection via four dedicated PoE output ports while keeping data input separate for easy installation.

Suitable for

• PTZ / Speed dome IP cameras
• Multi-channel wireless LAN access points (802.11a/b/g/n)
• VoIP phones and other low- to mid-power network PDs
• SOHO and small-to-medium business network deployments

Key specifications

• PoE standards: IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at
• Ports: 4 x 10/100/1000Base-T (PoE output) plus 4 x Gigabit data input RJ-45
• Per-port power output: up to 30 W (IEEE 802.3at) / 15.4 W (IEEE 802.3af)
• Total PoE budget: 120 W
• Cable type: CAT5/5e/6
• Power input: 52 V DC for PoE delivery
• Weight: 0.22 kg
• Color: Blue

How to use

Mount the HPOE-460 in a convenient location and connect the network uplink or switch to the data input RJ-45 ports. Connect the CAT5/5e/6 cables from the device’s PoE (Data and Power) output ports to the powered devices (PDs). Ensure the total power consumption of connected PDs does not exceed the unit’s 120 W budget. Power the injector from an appropriate 52 V DC source; the unit will deliver both power and data over the same Ethernet cable to each connected PD.

Recommendations

Use quality shielded CAT5e or CAT6 cabling for reliable Gigabit performance and to minimize power loss. Verify each PD’s PoE class and power requirements before connecting to ensure the HPOE-460 can supply adequate power per port and within the total budget.
