Lijadora Metabo SXE 425 Turbo Tec lijadora excéntrica

The Metabo SXE 425 Turbo Tec Exzenterschleifer is a compact dual-action sander designed for efficient surface finishing on wood, paint, and varnished surfaces. Equipped with a 400 W motor and adjustable speed control, this sander provides a balance of power and control for both coarse material removal and fine finishing. Its ergonomic body and low weight allow extended use with reduced user fatigue, while the integrated dust extraction system supports a cleaner work environment and better visibility of the sanding area.

Advantages

The variable speed control enables precise adjustment of sanding aggressiveness for different materials and tasks. The Turbo Tec function increases sanding performance when more power is required. The dual-action (excenter) motion reduces visible sanding marks and delivers a uniformly smooth surface. Ergonomic handle design and compact dimensions improve handling in confined spaces. The dust extraction interface helps maintain a dust-reduced workspace and extends abrasive life by reducing clogging.

Suitable for

• Sanding painted and lacquered surfaces to prepare for repainting or refinishing
• Removing old varnish and smoothing wooden furniture and doors
• Surface preparation of panels and frames before painting
• Light stock removal and finishing work on carpentry and joinery projects

Key specifications

• Motor power: 400 W
• Dual-action orbital (excenter) sanding movement for reduced sanding marks
• Variable speed control for tailored sanding from fine to aggressive
• Compact and lightweight housing for improved ergonomics
• Integrated dust extraction port compatible with standard dust collection systems
• Replaceable sanding backing pad suitable for hook-and-loop abrasives

How to use

Attach an appropriate grit abrasive disc to the hook-and-loop pad and connect the tool to a dust extractor if available. Set the speed control according to the material and the amount of material removal required — lower speeds for fine finishing and higher speeds for heavier stock removal. Place the sanding pad flat on the workpiece and move the sander in steady, overlapping passes, keeping it in motion to avoid creating dips or grooves. Periodically check the abrasive and replace when worn to maintain consistent results.

Recommendations

For best results, start with a coarser grit to remove old coatings, then progress through finer grits for a smooth finish. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, ensure good ventilation or active dust extraction, and secure small workpieces to prevent movement during sanding.
