• Users who need a simple, no-frills infrared remote for navigation and media playback

Key specifications

• Operation type: infrared (IR) line-of-sight control
• Functions: playback control, navigation, volume adjustment, power
• Design: compact handheld layout with tactile buttons
• Power: accepts standard replaceable batteries (battery type: standard size cells)
• Compatibility: works with select Sony televisions and media players that accept IR commands
• Weight and dimensions: lightweight, pocket-friendly form factor suitable for handheld use

How to use

Insert the required standard batteries following the polarity markings in the battery compartment, then point the remote directly at the device’s IR sensor and press the relevant buttons for power, navigation or playback. Allow for clear line of sight between the remote and the device; typical effective range depends on the receiving device but is consistent with standard IR remotes. If a button does not respond, replace the batteries or check that the target device is configured to accept IR commands from external remotes.

Recommendations

Store the remote in a dry, room-temperature environment away from direct sunlight and avoid dropping it; replace batteries promptly when response weakens to maintain reliable infrared signaling.
