Monitor gaming GIGABYTE MO27Q28GR 27" WOLED QHD – 2560×1440, 280 Hz, 0,03 ms, 335 cd/m², HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4

The GIGABYTE 27" MO27Q28GR is a 27-inch WOLED QHD gaming monitor with a 2560×1440 resolution, up to 280 Hz refresh rate and an ultra-fast 0.03 ms response time. It uses RealBlack Glossy WOLED technology to deliver deep blacks and high contrast, supports DisplayHDR True Black 500 and offers 335 cd/m² typical brightness, wide 178° viewing angles, a flat four-sided borderless design and a fully ergonomic stand. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB 3.2 Gen2 hub; the monitor also has built-in speakers and VESA mounting for flexible setups.

Advantages

The MO27Q28GR combines WOLED panel performance with a 280 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time to provide extremely smooth motion and rapid pixel transitions for competitive gaming. Its wide color coverage (10-bit color, high DCI‑P3 and BT.2020 coverage) and RealBlack Glossy coating produce accurate, vibrant images with strong contrast and true blacks. Additional features such as KVM cross-platform control, Eyesafe 3.0, G‑SYNC compatibility and DisplayHDR True Black 500 improve usability and viewing comfort for extended sessions.

Suitable for

• Competitive and fast-paced PC gaming where high refresh rate and low response time matter
• Multiplayer and esports titles that benefit from smooth motion and minimal input lag
• Content creators and color-critical tasks requiring wide color gamut and 10-bit color
• Multi-monitor or streamlined desktop setups thanks to the four-sided borderless design and KVM function

When it may not be suitable

This monitor may be excessive for users who only perform basic office tasks, web browsing or streaming video, where the high refresh rate and gaming-focused features provide little practical benefit. Additionally, WOLED panels require mindful handling to avoid burn-in risk in static long-term content scenarios; for static-signage use or 24/7 displays, consider alternatives designed for continuous display.

How to use

Connect the monitor to your PC or console via HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4, and use the USB 3.2 Gen2 hub to attach peripherals or storage. Configure your graphics card settings to enable the highest refresh rate (up to 280 Hz) and adaptive sync mode (G‑SYNC or FreeSync) for tear-free gameplay. Adjust the ergonomic stand for a comfortable viewing position, and enable Eyesafe settings if you want reduced blue light while preserving color accuracy. Use the built-in KVM function to switch control between multiple connected devices with a single keyboard and mouse.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your graphics card and cables support 2560×1440 at the desired high refresh rate (HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 may be required)
• Consider WOLED panel characteristics, including superb contrast and potential burn-in sensitivity with prolonged static content
• Confirm space and mount compatibility for a 27" flat, borderless display and VESA mounting if needed
• Check power and energy class expectations (typical consumption values provided for SDR/HDR)

Recommendations

For competitive gaming, enable the monitor's highest refresh rate and low-latency modes, use adaptive sync matching your GPU, and adjust brightness and Eyesafe settings for comfortable extended play. Rotate usage of static UI elements and enable screen-saving features to minimise potential WOLED burn-in risk.
