Monitor gaming GIGABYTE MO27Q2A ICE 27" QD‑OLED — 2560×1440, 280 Hz, 0,03 ms, 250 cd/m², HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4

The GIGABYTE MO27Q2A ICE is a 27-inch QD‑OLED gaming monitor with 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution, a 280 Hz maximum refresh rate and a 0.03 ms gray‑to‑gray response time. The monitor uses QD‑OLED panel technology to deliver deep blacks, wide color gamut coverage and fast pixel transitions. Typical brightness is 250 cd/m² and the unit comes in a white finish with a fully adjustable ergonomic stand, built‑in speakers and a USB 3.2 Gen1 hub. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, and the monitor supports adaptive sync technologies for smoother gameplay.

Advantages

The QD‑OLED panel provides high contrast and accurate color reproduction alongside very fast response times suitable for competitive gaming and color‑critical multimedia work. A 280 Hz refresh rate combined with 0.03 ms response time minimizes motion blur and input latency. Built‑in speakers and a USB hub reduce desktop clutter while height adjustment and VESA mounting options improve ergonomic placement. Support for DisplayHDR True Black 400 and adaptive sync standards helps maintain consistent picture quality across varied content.

Suitable for

• Competitive and fast‑paced gaming where high refresh rates and low response times matter
• Content creation and photo/video review that benefits from wide color gamut and high contrast
• General multimedia consumption and streaming with strong blacks and vivid colors
• Office or desktop setups needing integrated speakers and USB connectivity

When it may not be suitable

This monitor’s typical brightness of 250 cd/m² may be less ideal in very brightly lit rooms or near large windows where higher peak brightness is preferred. The panel is optimized for fast response and deep contrast rather than maximum sustained brightness for HDR highlights.

How to use

Connect the monitor to a compatible graphics source using HDMI 2.1 for maximum refresh rates at QHD or DisplayPort 1.4 where applicable. Use the display’s on‑screen menu to select refresh rate, color mode and adaptive sync settings that match your GPU. Adjust height, tilt, swivel or pivot to achieve a comfortable viewing angle, and connect peripherals to the built‑in USB hub if needed. For competitive gaming, enable the appropriate high‑refresh rate and low‑latency modes; for color work, choose a calibrated color profile or perform a calibration with external tools.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your graphics card and cables support HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 at 2560×1440 and 280 Hz
• Consider room lighting: typical brightness is 250 cd/m², which affects HDR peak highlights in bright environments
• Plan for desk space and mounting: monitor is 27" with VESA mounting and offers 13 cm height adjustment
• Check power and energy class expectations (SDR and HDR energy classes provided)

Recommendations

For best competitive performance, use a high‑quality HDMI 2.1 cable or DisplayPort 1.4 cable and set the monitor to 280 Hz with adaptive sync enabled. For color‑critical tasks, allow the display to warm up and use a hardware calibrator or a validated color profile to achieve consistent results.
