Get powerful and reliable WiFi 6 connectivity for all your devices, even in high-density environments. This business access point delivers dual-band WiFi 6 with 8 spatial streams, providing high-performance wireless connectivity with up to 2.4 Gbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 1.2 Gbps on the 2.4 GHz band. It supports multi-gigabit wired connections and PoE for flexible installation and simplified enterprise-grade networking for smaller organizations.

Advantages

Offers high throughput and increased connection capacity suitable for schools, hotels, restaurants and conference centers. Provides improved efficiency for connected devices resulting in longer battery life. Supports seamless wireless mesh with compatible NETGEAR access points for a wire-free installation. Includes business-level security features such as WPA3 and supports multiple SSIDs and VLAN separation for segmented network management.

Key specifications

  • WiFi standard: WiFi 6 (802.11ax), dual-band
  • Spatial streams: 8 streams
  • Maximum wireless rates: up to 2.4 Gbps (5 GHz) and up to 1.2 Gbps (2.4 GHz)
  • Ethernet: 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • Security: WPA3
  • SSIDs: up to 8 separate wireless networks (SSIDs)
  • Mesh: supports seamless wireless mesh with compatible NETGEAR models (WAX620, WAX610, WAX610Y, WAC540, WAC564)
  • Mounting: wall or suspended ceiling hardware included

How to use

Install the access point on a wall or suspended ceiling using the included mounting hardware. Connect the device to your network using the 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port and, if available, Power over Ethernet to supply power. Use NETGEAR Insight to set up, configure and manage SSIDs, security settings and VLANs. For larger coverage areas, add compatible NETGEAR access points and enable wireless mesh to create a seamless business network.

Recommendations

Place the access point centrally in the coverage area and avoid obstructions for optimal performance. Use separate SSIDs and VLANs to isolate guest and IoT devices from administrative networks. Ensure connected switches and cabling support 2.5 Gbps where high wired throughput is required.
