Punto de acceso MikroTik cAP ax montaje en techo Wi‑Fi 6 dual‑band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, 1774 Mbps, 2x RJ45, IP20, RouterOS

The Mikrotik cAP ax is a ceiling-mounted dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 access point designed for office and public indoor environments that require wide coverage and support for many concurrent clients. It delivers up to 1774 Mbit/s combined throughput, supports advanced security standards such as WPA3-PSK and WPA3-EAP, and includes PoE-in and PoE-out for flexible installation and powering of other devices. The compact white housing blends into ceilings while providing stable wireless performance driven by a quad-core 1.8 GHz CPU, NAND storage and 1 GB of RAM running RouterOS v7.

Advantages

cAP ax provides improved range and stability using the 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6) standard, offering higher throughput in both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands and better performance in dense or interference-prone environments. The device supports modern authentication methods including OWE, WPA3-PSK, WPA3-EAP and 802.11r roaming. Built-in PoE-in and PoE-out simplify cabling and allow the access point to power switches, cameras or additional cAP ax units. RouterOS v7 and the quad-core CPU enable advanced routing, VPNs and security features suitable for demanding office networks.

Suitable for

• Open-plan offices and multi-room office layouts
• Conference rooms, classrooms and meeting areas
• Retail stores and hospitality venues requiring discreet ceiling installation
• Deployments needing central management with CAPsMAN and mass provisioning

How to use

Mount the cAP ax on the ceiling in a central position to minimise obstacles between the device and client devices. Connect a Gigabit Ethernet cable to provide network connectivity and power via PoE-in, or install a PoE injector/switch if required. Configure wireless settings, security and network services using the device’s RouterOS v7 interface or by using CAPsMAN for centralized management. If needed, use the PoE-out port to power another network device such as a switch or IP camera.

Recommendations

Install cAP ax units higher than large metal objects and away from enclosed metal cabinets or reflective glass when possible. For dense deployments, plan channel allocation and use CAPsMAN to apply consistent configuration and roaming settings across multiple access points to ensure stable connectivity and optimal performance.
