Pelacables Knipex 16 60 06 SB

The Knipex 16 60 06 SB cable stripper is a compact, universal tool for precise stripping of coaxial, telephone and data cables. It is designed to strip outer sheaths and interior insulation in a single operation and includes blades for coax cables RG59, RG6, RG7 and RG11, as well as adjustable and integrated blades for data and telephone ribbon cables. The tool has a durable impact‑resistant plastic housing, measures 125 mm and weighs approximately 100 g, providing a lightweight, professional solution for cable preparation.

Advantages

The tool combines multiple stripping functions in one compact device, allowing simultaneous removal of outer sheath and inner insulation for coaxial cables. It includes an adjustable stripping blade for data cables and two dedicated blades to cut and strip 4P/6P/8P telephone ribbon cable in a single step. An integrated cutting blade for data cables increases efficiency, and the impact‑resistant plastic housing keeps the stripper durable while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.

Suitable for

• Stripping coaxial cables RG59, RG6, RG7 and RG11
• Preparing data cables (adjustable stripping blade)
• Cutting and stripping telephone ribbon cables (4P/6P/8P)

How to use

Place the cable into the appropriate stripping slot for the cable type (coax, data or telephone ribbon) and close the tool to engage the blades. For coaxial cables the tool strips outer sheath and inner insulation in one motion; for data cables adjust the stripping blade to the required insulation thickness before rotating or pulling to remove insulation. For telephone ribbon cables use the dedicated cutting and stripping blades to perform cutting and stripping in a single operation. Inspect the stripped conductor and, if necessary, repeat a light adjustment to avoid damage to the conductor.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 16 60 06 SB on cables within the specified types (RG59, RG6, RG7, RG11 and compatible data/telephone cables). Check blade settings on scrap pieces before working on live or expensive cables, and replace blades if cuts become imprecise. Store the tool in a dry place to maintain the plastic housing and blade condition.
