The Dry & Steam iron Philips 7000 series DST7030/20 combines dry ironing and steam capabilities in a single appliance designed for efficient everyday garment care. With a SteamGlide Plus soleplate for smooth gliding and a 2800 W power rating for fast heat-up, the iron delivers consistent steam output and reliable temperature performance. The compact 0.3 L water tank supports on-demand steam and vertical steaming for hanging garments and curtains. A 2 m cord and 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz compatibility ensure flexible placement and suitability for common household electrical systems.

Advantages

The SteamGlide Plus soleplate is engineered for low friction and even heat distribution, helping reduce ironing time and effort. High power (2800 W) provides rapid heating and steady steam generation for stubborn creases. The integrated vertical steam function lets you refresh garments and soft furnishings without an ironing board. A 0.3 L water tank balances compact size with sufficient capacity for typical ironing sessions, and the 2 m cord offers extended reach around the ironing area.

Suitable for

• Daily ironing of shirts, trousers, dresses and blouses
• Quick touch-ups and wrinkle removal on hanging garments using vertical steam
• Ironing lightweight to medium-weight fabrics such as cotton, linen blends and synthetics
• Households needing a compact iron with reliable steam performance

How to use

Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the indicated level, place the iron on a stable surface and plug it into a compatible mains socket. Select the appropriate temperature setting for the fabric type, allow the soleplate to reach operating temperature, and start ironing using smooth strokes. For vertical steaming, hold the iron upright a short distance from the hanging garment and apply short steam bursts to relax wrinkles. Empty the water tank after extended storage or if the iron will not be used for several days.

Recommendations

Use distilled or demineralised water if your tap water is hard to reduce mineral buildup. To protect delicate fabrics, test the iron on an inconspicuous area and use the lower temperature settings. Regularly clean the soleplate and follow the manufacturer's maintenance instructions to maintain optimal steam performance.
