Punto de acceso de techo/pared MikroTik cAP XL ac Wi‑Fi 802.11ac Dualband 2,4/5 GHz PoE, 2× Gigabit Ethernet, RouterOS, blanco

The Mikrotik cAP XL ac is a ceiling-mount access point and router offering dual-band Wi‑Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with 802.11ac performance. Its updated high‑gain antenna, increased sensitivity and built‑in reflector expand coverage compared to earlier cAP models while the low‑profile white enclosure is designed for unobtrusive ceiling installation. The unit includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports and supports PoE input and PoE passthrough for flexible deployment.

Advantages

The revised antenna design and higher radio sensitivity increase the covered area by up to 100% versus previous cAP models, providing stronger 360° coverage from a ceiling location. Dual‑band 2.4/5 GHz operation with dual‑chain radio ensures reliable wireless throughput across a range of client devices. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow wired device connections and network extension; the device supports 802.3af/at PoE input on the first port and passive PoE output (up to 57 V) on the second port. The compact, low‑profile white housing blends into ceiling environments and reduces the risk of unwanted physical access.

Suitable for

• Office spaces and open‑plan workplaces where ceiling placement reduces interference
• Public venues, hotels or classrooms requiring discreet ceiling access points
• Wired and wireless network extensions using PoE input and PoE output

Key specifications

• Wireless bands: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (802.11ac)
• Maximum wireless data rate: up to 867 Mbit/s (5 GHz, model specification)
• Ethernet LAN: 2 × Gigabit RJ‑45 (10/100/1000 Mbit/s)
• PoE: 802.3af/at input on port 1; passive PoE output (up to 57 V) on port 2
• Antenna: internal high‑gain with built‑in reflector
• Colour: white; low‑profile ceiling form factor

How to use

Mount the cAP XL ac on the ceiling in a central position to maximise 360° coverage. Connect a Gigabit Ethernet cable to port 1 to supply data and PoE power (802.3af/at). If required, use port 2 to provide passive PoE output to another device or to connect a wired client. Configure wireless settings and radio parameters through the MikroTik RouterOS or Web interface to match your network SSIDs, security and channel planning. Positioning on the ceiling reduces signal obstruction from large objects and office partitions.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, place the device away from large metallic objects and ensure the antenna has clear line‑of‑sight where possible; use the ceiling location to minimise interference and adjust radio channels and power in RouterOS to suit the density of nearby networks.
