Autenticador de dos factores TOTP ReinerSCT mini, token de hardware compacto para contraseñas de un solo uso basadas en tiempo

ReinerSCT mini is a compact hardware token that generates TOTP (time‑based one‑time passwords) for two‑factor authentication. The device produces temporary numeric codes independently of smartphones or network connections, providing a separate authentication factor for secure access to online services. Its small form factor and robust build make it suitable for carrying on a keyring or storing in a pocket while remaining easy to operate for both business and private users.

Advantages

The ReinerSCT mini offers isolated code generation in a tamper‑resistant enclosure, reducing exposure to malware and phishing attacks that target mobile apps. Its standalone operation does not require pairing, Bluetooth, or internet access, which simplifies deployment and minimizes attack surface. The compact design balances portability with durable construction, enabling reliable repeated use in everyday authentication workflows.

Suitable for

• Two‑factor authentication for online accounts and business applications
• Portable secondary authentication for remote and traveling users
• Users who prefer a hardware token instead of smartphone‑based OTP apps
• Organizations implementing physical second‑factor tokens for employees

Key specifications

• Authentication method: TOTP (time‑based one‑time passwords)
• Form factor: compact hardware token designed for portability
• Power: internal battery designed for long operational life
• Display / output: numeric one‑time codes for manual entry into login forms
• Operating environment: suitable for everyday carry and standard ambient conditions

How to use

Activate the token according to the provider or administrator’s enrollment procedure, which typically involves registering the device with the target online service and synchronising its internal clock if required. To authenticate, generate the current TOTP code on the ReinerSCT mini and enter the displayed numeric code into the service’s two‑factor authentication prompt. Follow any service‑specific steps for initial pairing or activation as provided by your IT department or account provider.

Recommendations

Store the token securely when not in use and keep a documented recovery process for account access in case the device is lost. Verify time synchronisation with the service at enrollment, and replace the device before the end of its operational battery life to avoid unexpected authentication failures.
