Advantages

The compact wall-mounted form factor allows flexible placement and easy relocation. The profile memory stores previously connected wireless networks so the extender does not need to be reset when switching paired routers. One-touch setup via the router's WPS button and the extender's Range Extender button enables quick, cable-free installation. A dedicated pair button can also create an encrypted connection with client devices.

Key specifications

Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11n/g/b
Maximum wireless speed: up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz)
Operation mode: Range Extender
Installation: wall-mounted, compact plug-in design
Buttons: Range Extender button, WPS/pair button
Signal indicator: 5-level LED signal strength indicator
Security: supports encrypted pairing via WPS/pair button

How to use

Plug the TL-WA854RE into a power outlet within range of your existing Wi-Fi network. Press the WPS button on your router and then press the Range Extender button on the TL-WA854RE (or press the extender button first and then the router's WPS) to establish a connection without additional cables. Use the pair button to create an encrypted connection with client devices when needed. Move the extender to a location where the signal indicator shows strong reception from the router for optimal performance.

Recommendations

Place the extender roughly midway between the router and the areas with weak signal, avoid locations near large metal objects or appliances that cause interference, and verify the signal indicator shows a strong or adequate level before finalizing placement.
