Sensor fotoelectrico Panasonic PM-K45 tipo K barrera de horquilla, 5-24 V DC, conmutacion clara/oscura

The Panasonic PM-K45 is a K-type fork photoelectric sensor designed for reliable object detection in automation and material handling systems. Its fork-style emitter and receiver arrangement provides a stable detection zone for small parts, labels, edges or similar targets. The sensor operates from 5 to 24 V DC and supports selectable light-on (bright) and dark-on (dark) switching modes to suit different application logic requirements.

Advantages

The compact fork form factor ensures accurate, repeatable sensing of small or thin objects in confined spaces. Operating across a wide DC supply range simplifies integration into existing control systems. The option to choose between light-on and dark-on switching gives flexibility for normally-open or normally-closed signal behavior without additional wiring. The optical design provides consistent performance for detection of opaque, transparent and semi-transparent materials within the fork gap.

Suitable for

• Detecting small parts on conveyors in packaging and assembly lines
• Label presence and edge detection in printing or labeling systems
• Part counting and positioning for pick-and-place equipment
• Sorting and quality control where compact sensing is required

Key specifications

• Sensor type: K-type fork photoelectric (emitter and receiver in fork)
• Supply voltage: 5–24 V DC
• Switching modes: selectable light-on (bright) and dark-on (dark)
• Mounting style: fork/mountable housing for fixed alignment of sensing gap
• Detection target: small parts, labels, edges, opaque and semi-transparent materials

How to use

Install the sensor so the object to be detected passes through the fork gap, ensuring the emitter and receiver are properly aligned. Connect the power supply within the specified 5–24 V DC range and wire the switching output according to the control system input, taking account of the selected light-on or dark-on mode. Adjust the sensor position to optimize detection consistency and avoid unwanted background reflections. Verify operation by moving representative parts through the sensing zone and confirming correct output response under expected production conditions.

Recommendations

For consistent results, keep the fork gap free of debris and ensure the sensor is mounted rigidly to prevent misalignment. When detecting transparent or highly reflective items, test both switching modes to determine the most reliable setting. Observe manufacturer guidance on environmental limits and use suitable protective measures in dusty, humid or high-vibration environments.
