Sierra de calar Metabo ST 18 LT 130 BL

The Metabo ST 18 LT 130 BL is a compact cordless jigsaw designed for precise cutting in wood, plastics and non-ferrous metals. Weighing approximately 1.5 kg, this jigsaw combines a brushless motor with variable speed control to deliver up to 3,500 strokes per minute. Its lightweight construction and ergonomic grip make it suitable for extended use, while the tool's adjustable settings support accurate, controlled cuts across a range of materials and thicknesses.

Advantages

The brushless motor increases efficiency and reduces maintenance compared with brushed alternatives, offering longer service life and more consistent power delivery under load. Variable speed control allows matching stroke rate to the material and cut type for improved finish quality. The low weight and compact design improve maneuverability and reduce user fatigue during prolonged tasks. Built-in features such as tool-free blade change and a clear saw guide contribute to faster setup and greater productivity on-site.

Suitable for

• Precision interior carpentry and finishing cuts
• Cutting laminate, plywood and MDF panels
• Trimming and shaping plastic components
• Lightweight metal cutting with appropriate blades
• On-site repair and renovation tasks requiring a cordless solution

Key specifications

• Weight: approx. 1.5 kg for reduced fatigue and improved handling
• Stroke rate: up to 3,500 strokes per minute for fast cutting progress
• Motor type: brushless motor for higher efficiency and durability
• Bevel capacity: adjustable base plate for bevel cuts (check model-specific range in manual)
• Blade change: tool-free blade exchange for quick replacement on the job
• Grip: ergonomic design for comfortable control during extended use

How to use

Before operation, select a blade suitable for the material and secure it in the tool-free blade holder according to the instruction manual. Adjust the stroke rate to match the material hardness and thickness; lower speeds for finer cuts and harder materials, higher speeds for fast, rough cuts in soft materials. Align the base plate with the cutting line, support the workpiece to minimize vibration, and make steady, controlled passes while maintaining firm control of the jigsaw. Rechargeable battery installation and removal should follow the manufacturer’s safety guidelines.

Recommendations

Use blades rated for the specific material (wood, laminate, metal or plastic) and inspect blades regularly for wear. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection and hearing protection. When performing bevel cuts, clamp the workpiece securely and adjust the shoe carefully to the desired angle. For prolonged cutting sessions, alternate hand positions and allow brief rest periods to reduce fatigue.
