Tubo óptico Skywatcher GBKP150/F600 Quattro 150mm de apertura 600mm de distancia focal

Skywatcher GBKP150/F600 Quattro is an optical tube assembly (OTA) with a 150 mm aperture and a 600 mm focal length, designed for a compact, fast optical configuration. The Quattro four-element, two-group optical layout provides a bright fast focal ratio suitable for both visual observation and astrophotography. The OTA is intended for use on compatible equatorial or alt-azimuth mounts and accepts standard accessories for focusing, imaging, and visual use.

Advantages

The Quattro design offers a fast focal ratio that reduces exposure times for imaging and delivers bright, high-contrast views for planetary and deep-sky targets. Its 150 mm aperture collects substantial light while remaining portable and compact compared with larger refractors or reflectors. The optical tube accepts common visual and imaging accessories, enabling flexible use as a primary imaging instrument or a high-quality visual scope.

Suitable for

• Wide-field deep-sky imaging of nebulae and large star fields
• Planetary and lunar observation with high contrast
• Travel and field astronomy where a compact setup is required
• Use as a primary OTA on compatible mounts for astrophotography

Key specifications

• Aperture: 150 mm
• Focal length: 600 mm
• Optical design: Quattro four-element, two-group configuration (flat field emphasis)
• Focal ratio: f/4
• Tube type: Short, compact OTA suitable for imaging and visual use
• Compatibility: Standard 2" and 1.25" accessory interfaces for eyepieces, focusers, and cameras

How to use

Mount the Skywatcher GBKP150/F600 Quattro on a stable equatorial or alt-azimuth mount rated for the OTA and planned payload. Balance the tube on the mount, attach a suitable diagonal or camera adapter to the focuser, and perform rough collimation or alignment as required by your mount. For visual use, start with a low-power eyepiece to locate targets, then increase magnification for planetary or lunar detail. For imaging, use a camera with a compatible T-adapter or 2" nosepiece, and set framing and focus through a live view or guiding camera. Use a field flattener or built-in flat-field correction if available to reduce edge stars' aberrations.

Recommendations

Use the OTA with a mount that provides accurate tracking for long exposures and add an autoguider when imaging at focal lengths derived from the 600 mm tube. Allow the optical tube to reach thermal equilibrium before critical imaging or high-magnification observing to improve image sharpness. Use quality focusers and adapters to maintain stable back focus and avoid introducing tilt when attaching cameras or heavy eyepieces.
