Switch gestionado FiberHome S4820-28T-X-PE-AC L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet 24 puertos PoE

The FiberHome S4820-28T-X-PE-AC is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit switch featuring 24 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) RJ‑45 ports with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support and four SFP+ slots for 10G uplinks. With a switching capacity of 128 Gbit/s and support for IEEE 802.3af/at and IEEE 802.3ab standards, this switch is designed for deployment in campus, enterprise and metropolitan networks where reliable wired connectivity, PoE power delivery and advanced traffic handling are required.

Advantages

The S4820-28T-X-PE-AC combines managed Layer 2 and Layer 3 features with PoE on 24 ports, enabling centralized power and data delivery for IP phones, wireless access points and cameras. High switching capacity and 10G SFP+ uplinks provide sufficient bandwidth for aggregation and core connectivity. The model integrates reliability functions such as STP/RSTP/MSTP, Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (G.8032), R-Link and VRRP, plus hardware monitoring for power and fan modules to support continuous operation. Security features include DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, IP source guard and flexible ACLs to help protect subscribers and the switch control plane.

Suitable for

• Campus network access and aggregation
• Small-to-medium enterprise core or distribution layer
• Edge of metropolitan-area networks (MAN)
• PoE deployments: IP phones, wireless APs, network cameras
• Multicast services such as IPTV and enterprise video

How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack or on a stable surface following the manufacturer’s mounting recommendations and ensure adequate ventilation. Connect power to the AC input and verify LED indicators for normal operation. Use the management interface (CLI/WEB/NETCONF or SNMP as supported by the device) to configure VLANs, L2/L3 routing, QoS policies and PoE settings. Attach SFP+ modules for 10G uplinks where required and connect end devices to the Gigabit PoE ports. Apply multicast and security settings (IGMP, DHCP snooping, ACLs, 802.1x) according to your network design to control traffic and protect subscribers.

Recommendations

For stable operation, monitor PoE budget and distribute powered devices to avoid exceeding total PoE power capacity. Use redundant uplinks and enable link protection features such as G.8032 or VRRP for fast failover. Regularly back up configuration files and keep firmware up to date to ensure security fixes and feature improvements are applied.
