PLANET FGSW-1816HPS is a rack-mountable Layer 2 Managed PoE+ switch designed for SMBs and enterprise edge deployments. How to use

Mount the FGSW-1816HPS in a standard 19" rack and connect network devices to the 10/100 ports and uplinks. Use the Web-based GUI or SNMP management software to configure VLANs, QoS, ACLs and IPv6 settings. Configure PoE options per port: enable PoE, set PoE schedule, sequence delay or PD Alive Check for automatic recovery of unresponsive devices. For long-distance backbone links, install appropriate 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP modules in the SFP slots.

Recommendations

For surveillance and VoIP scenarios, enable PD Alive Check and PoE schedule to increase reliability and reduce energy consumption. Use the combo SFP ports with multimode or single-mode SFPs for reliable uplink distances according to your site needs, and secure management access via SNMPv3, SSH or SSL.
