Toma de corriente (Schuko) Gira 478130 — 2 tomas horizontal de superficie, gris

Gira 478130 is a 2-fold Schuko socket outlet designed for surface-mounted installation in a horizontal arrangement. Supplied in gray, it provides two grounded outlets for connecting electrical appliances in domestic and light commercial environments. The unit is intended for applications where flush mounting is not possible or where surface routing of cables and quick access to mains sockets is required. The product's compact horizontal layout places two protective-earth sockets side by side, offering standard Schuko safety features and compatibility with common European plugs.

Advantages

The surface-mounted design simplifies installation on solid walls, timber, or installation boxes without the need for recessed mounting. The horizontal two-socket configuration saves space and allows convenient placement of two appliances next to each other. Constructed to Gira quality standards, the outlet offers stable contact, grounded protection, and a neutral gray finish that blends with various interiors. The durable housing resists everyday wear and supports straightforward cable entry for installers.

How to use

Install the Gira 2-fold horizontal surface-mounted socket according to applicable national wiring regulations and local electrical codes. Mount the unit on a suitable flat surface or installation box using appropriate screws and wall plugs. Route incoming cables into the housing through the provided entry points and make electrical connections to the terminals: live (L), neutral (N) and protective earth (PE). Ensure all connections are tightened to the manufacturer's torque specifications and that the protective earth conductor is properly connected. After wiring, fix the cover and test the sockets with appropriate testing equipment to verify correct polarity and grounding before connecting appliances.

Recommendations

Use the outlet only for compatible household and light commercial appliances within the rated mains voltage and current limits. Avoid overloading both sockets simultaneously with high-current devices and ensure regular inspection of the housing and connections in humid or dusty environments. For installation or when in doubt about wiring, engage a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with safety standards.
