WatchGuard AP230W punto de acceso de pared Wi-Fi 6, dual band 2x2:2, 1.775 Gbit/s, switch Gigabit de 4 puertos, alimentado por PoE+, gestionado en la nube

In hospitality and multi-dwelling environments, delivering reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi through existing wall outlets is a constant challenge. The WatchGuard AP230W solves this by combining a Wi-Fi 6 access point with a built-in 4-port Gigabit switch in a sleek wall plate form factor. It replaces legacy phone or data jacks, providing seamless wireless coverage and wired connectivity without additional cabling or clutter.

Who is it for

This access point is ideal for hotels, student residences, assisted living facilities, and offices that need discreet, per-room Wi-Fi and wired connections. It suits IT administrators seeking cloud-managed simplicity, robust security, and future-proof performance for high-density client environments.

Main features

• Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) dual-band concurrent operation with aggregate throughput up to 1.775 Gbps (574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz + 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz).
• 2x2:2 MIMO with internal omni-directional antennas (3.5 dBi on 2.4 GHz, 4.5 dBi on 5 GHz) for consistent coverage.
• Four Gigabit Ethernet ports: one uplink with PoE+ (802.3at) input, three downlink ports, one supporting PoE passthrough (802.3af) for IP phones or other devices.
• Advanced security with WPA3, Enhanced Open, and up to 16 SSIDs (8 per radio) for segmented guest and corporate networks.
• Cloud-managed via WatchGuard Cloud for zero-touch deployment, monitoring, and mesh support.

Tips

For optimal performance, mount the AP230W at standard outlet height and avoid obstructions. Use a PoE+ switch or injector to power the unit. Configure separate SSIDs for guests and staff, and enable WPA3 for enhanced security. The PoE passthrough port can power an IP phone, reducing the need for extra power adapters in the room.
