AOC CBO Lenovo SFP-AOC-10G-15M Cable óptico activo 10G SFP+, 15 m

The AOC CBO Lenovo SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G SFP+ active optical cable, 15 m is a factory-terminated SFP+ active optical cable designed for short- to mid-range 10 Gb/s links between compatible SFP+ ports. It integrates optical transceivers and a duplex multimode fiber connection within a single assembly to provide low-latency, electrically isolated links without requiring separate SFP+ transceiver modules. The 15-metre length supports rack-to-rack and within-rack connections in data center and enterprise network environments where a compact, plug-and-play 10 Gb/s connection is needed.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers 10 Gb/s performance with reduced electromagnetic interference risk due to optical transmission. By combining the transceiver optics and fiber in one pre-terminated cable, it simplifies installation and inventory management compared with separate transceivers plus fiber patching. The design offers low latency and reliable signal integrity over the 15 m distance, and its SFP+ form factor ensures compatibility with equipment that supports SFP+ active optical cables.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centers and server rooms
• Direct 10 Gb/s links between switches and routers with compatible SFP+ ports
• Server-to-switch or storage-to-switch connections within a 15 m range
• Environments requiring electrical isolation and reduced EMI between devices

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ active optical cable (integrated transceivers)
• Data rate: 10 Gigabits per second (10 Gb/s)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connection type: Duplex optical link for SFP+ ports
• Intended use: Short- to mid-range data center interconnects and rack links

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector end into the compatible SFP+ port on the two devices you intend to link, ensuring the connectors latch securely. No separate transceiver modules or additional fiber patching are required. Verify that both devices support SFP+ active optical cables and are configured for a 10 Gb/s link speed; adjust interface settings on the networking equipment if necessary. Monitor link status LEDs or management interfaces to confirm an active 10 Gb/s connection.

Recommendations

Use this 15 m AOC for rack-to-rack and in-rack connections where a reliable, low-latency 10 Gb/s link is required. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling forces on the cable; follow common fiber handling practices to maintain signal integrity and longevity.
