Finder Tipo 1+2+3 Protector contra sobretensiones combinado 7P.94.8.255.Z007C08 (7P948255Z007C08)

For installations where a single protective device must handle everything from direct lightning strikes to fine overvoltage transients, the Finder 7P.94.8.255.Z007C08 combines Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 surge protection in one compact DIN-rail unit. Unlike separate arresters that demand extra wiring, coordination effort, and panel space, this 3-pole + N arrester integrates high-energy spark gap technology with metal oxide varistors to deliver a complete protection chain at the service entrance or sub-distribution board.

Highlights

• Combined Type 1+2+3 surge protective device (SPD) according to EN 61643-11
• Impulse discharge current (10/350 µs) of 7 kA per pole – suitable for direct lightning exposure
• Nominal discharge current (8/20 µs) of 20 kA, maximum discharge current 40 kA
• Low voltage protection level < 1.5 kV for sensitive downstream equipment
• Remote signaling contact (NO/NC) for easy monitoring and integration into building management systems
• Compact 4-module width for DIN rail mounting (EN 60715)

In daily use

Installed at the origin of a low-voltage installation, the 7P.94.8.255.Z007C08 continuously monitors the mains for transient overvoltages. Its spark gap safely diverts lightning currents to earth, while the varistor section clamps residual voltages to a level that modern electronics can withstand. The remote signaling contact changes state when a protective module reaches end of life, allowing maintenance teams to react before protection is lost. With an operating temperature range from -40 to +80 °C and IP20 protection, it is suitable for a wide range of indoor electrical panels.
