Inyector de alimentación MITEL 802.3af Universal 15,4 W modelo 50008342

The Power injector MITEL 802.3af Universal 15.4W model supplies Power over Ethernet (PoE) to compatible network devices, enabling data and power delivery over a single Ethernet cable. Designed to meet the IEEE 802.3af standard, this compact inline unit provides up to 15.4 W to downstream endpoints such as IP phones and wireless access points. The injector is intended for use where network switches do not provide PoE or where isolated PoE feeds are required.

Advantages

This PoE injector offers compliance with the IEEE 802.3af specification to ensure compatibility with a wide range of PoE-capable devices. Its compact form factor allows easy placement near network equipment or in constrained spaces. Inline installation requires minimal configuration: connect the data source and the powered device using standard Ethernet cables. The device provides a convenient way to extend PoE to single devices without upgrading existing switches.

Suitable for

• IP desk and conference phones that require 15.4 W or less
• 802.11 access points and wireless bridges compatible with 802.3af
• Single PoE cameras or network endpoints where a PoE switch is not available
• Small office or home office installations needing isolated PoE feeds

Key specifications

• PoE standard: IEEE 802.3af (delivers up to 15.4 W to powered device)
• Power delivery: up to 15.4 watts to the powered port
• Ports: data in (uplink) and data + power out (downlink) via Ethernet RJ45 connectors
• Compatibility: works with PoE-enabled devices conforming to 802.3af
• Form factor: compact inline external injector suitable for rack or desktop placement

How to use

Place the injector close to the non-PoE switch or upstream network connection. Connect a standard Ethernet cable from the switch or router to the injector's data-in port. Then connect a second Ethernet cable from the injector's data+power out port to the PoE-capable device. Power the injector from a nearby AC outlet using the provided power cord. The injector negotiates power delivery with compliant devices and supplies up to 15.4 W as required.

Recommendations

Use Category 5e or higher Ethernet cabling for reliable power and data delivery. Verify the powered device supports IEEE 802.3af and requires 15.4 W or less. Avoid connecting non-PoE or proprietary power-hungry devices that exceed the injector's output. For multiple devices, consider using a PoE-capable switch rather than multiple single-port injectors to simplify cabling and management.
