Punto de acceso inalámbrico Ubiquiti AF-5 1000 Mbit/s PoE 5 GHz

The airFiber®5 is a point-to-point outdoor wireless backhaul device designed for carrier-class links and long-range bridging. Operating in the unlicensed 5 GHz band, it delivers high throughput and low latency for demanding network backhaul applications while supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified deployment.

Advantages

The airFiber®5 features a high-isolation, dual-antenna design that improves performance in environments with strong RF interference. It provides real throughput of up to 1.2+ Gbps and supports frequency-division duplexing (FDD) in full-duplex mode to achieve sub-millisecond latency. The unit is built for long-range links of 100+ km and operates in worldwide license-free 5 GHz frequencies where permitted by local regulations.

Suitable for

• Long-distance point-to-point backhaul links
• Carrier-class network backhaul and aggregation
• Bridging between remote sites and base stations
• Deployments requiring PoE for simplified outdoor installation

Key specifications

• Operating frequency: 5 GHz (unlicensed bands, subject to local regulations)
• Throughput: real throughput up to 1.2+ Gbps
• Range: designed for links of 100+ km
• Duplex: FDD full-duplex for <1 ms latency
• Ethernet: 10/100/1000 Mbit/s LAN support
• Power: Power over Ethernet (PoE) support

How to use

Mount the airFiber®5 in a clear line-of-sight position facing the remote unit for optimal link quality. Connect the device to a PoE injector or PoE-capable switch to supply power over the Ethernet cable, then connect the LAN port to your network equipment. Configure link parameters and antenna alignment using the Ubiquiti management interface following standard point-to-point setup procedures.

Recommendations

Deploy the airFiber®5 only where the 5 GHz unlicensed band is allowed by local regulation; ensure precise alignment and proper RF planning for long-range links to achieve the specified throughput and latency. Use proper grounding, surge protection, and mounting hardware for outdoor installations.
