The LOGON RDL42U81BL freestanding rack cabinet is a 42U network cabinet designed for server and cabling installations in offices and system rooms. Built with a robust steel frame and a framed 4 mm smoked safety glass front door with a handle-locking mechanism, the cabinet supports up to 600 kg of mounted equipment. The unit includes adjustable 19" mounting rails, removable solid steel rear door, large rubber-edged cable entry on the floor and brush-strip cable feeds on top and bottom. The roof module with vented surface and raised edges enables passive ventilation and offers dust and splash resistance. The cabinet is finished in black and has an IP40 protection rating.

How to use

Place the freestanding rack on a level surface and adjust the levelling feet to stabilise the cabinet. Mount equipment into the adjustable 19" rails using standard rack screws; adjust rail depth as required for varying equipment sizes. Route cables through the rubber-edged floor entry or brush-strip feeds on top and bottom to protect and organise bundles. Use the keyed lock on the front glass door and rear steel door for controlled access. For improved airflow, use the raised roof and available ventilation module or rely on passive ventilation through the vented roof surface.

Recommendations

For safe operation, distribute weight evenly across the 42U bay and keep the heaviest equipment in lower rack positions. Regularly check earthing connections and tighten mounting screws during installation. If active cooling is required, install compatible ventilation or fan modules in the roof module area.
